Distributor Sales Representative (DSR)
Seashore Food Distributors is seeking a talented, ambitious self-starter, to join our sales team in the South Jersey market .The role entails a blend of new business development, new market expansion, servicing existing accounts as well as the daily activities associated with local market strategic selling in a territory. You will be responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle, qualification of opportunities, development of a market strategy, negotiation and closing of new business. This position reports to the Director of Sales.
Primary responsibilities
- Sells company's products by visiting or calling on prospective and established customers.
- Takes orders and provides necessary follow-up to the customers.
- Maintains sales programs within assigned territory by keeping customers informed about available products and prices.
- Determines priority and effort given to each account based on sales potential.
- Responds to customer's inquiries or complaints regarding company's products and service.
- Responsible for collecting payments from customers.
- Keeps records and prepares reports on sales activities.
- Monitors competitive activity and trends within the territory.
- Keeps developing new customers
- Performs other duties as assigned and/or necessary.
Requirements
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet and e-mail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- College degree or equivalent preferred but not required
Food sales experience not required we will train the right person.
- Valid Driver's license
- Spanish helpful but not a requirement

Salary: Starting salary commiserate to experience until eligible for base + commission program. No Experience starting salary range $43k - $48k
